From day-one beginners to seasoned fighters, adults at Alliance Thai Boxing train in a structured, challenging, and supportive environment designed to elevate your skills and sharpen your mindset.
Muay Thai has never used a traditional belt system. In Thailand, rank was earned in the camp and proven in the ring, where trainers judged students by their technique, conditioning, and character. At Alliance, we honor that tradition: you move forward by showing what you can do, not by counting stripes.
One Clear Path
Every student starts in Basics, and each level has clear expectations, so you always know what you're working toward and what it takes to get there. The same standards apply to everyone.
Level 1 · Where everyone starts
Basics
You learn the fundamental strikes, stance, and footwork in a positive, supportive room. The expectations are simple: come ready to learn, treat everyone as a teammate, and leave negative self-talk at the door.
Level 2 · No half-effort
Intermediate
All students are welcome to attend Intermediate, and the expectations are clear. You work hard, practice at home, and build on a solid grasp of the fundamental strikes. You'll start partner training: controlling your power, adjusting technique, and helping keep your partner safe. You take coaching from both coaches and teammates, and you communicate clearly about power, technique, and injuries.
Level 3 · Earned after at least 50 Basics classes
Advanced
Advanced students understand every Muay Thai weapon, including punches, kicks, knees, and elbows, and can hold pads properly for all of them. They regulate their power, have a basic understanding of defense, and give clear feedback to their partners.
Level 4 · Invite only
Sparring
At Alliance, sparring is not a fight. Coaches invite students who can defend against every Muay Thai strike, keep solid footwork and balance, stay emotionally controlled, and have full control over their power. Upgraded protective gear is required.
Level 5 · Invite only
Fight Team
The Fight Team is for students with at least 100 classes and 6+ months of consistent sparring who meet every Advanced requirement. Members represent all of Alliance's values, understand clinch positions, and come to Basics classes ready to help lead beginners.
What to Expect in Your First Class
Your free class starts in Basics. A coach will walk you through stance, footwork, and the fundamental strikes. Train barefoot (no shoes or socks on the mat), bring water, and come with a positive attitude. As you keep training, you'll need Muay Thai shorts, a team shirt, and your own gloves (12 oz minimum).
What We Do Differently
No one gets rushed into sparring, and no one gets left behind. Every step has clear requirements, so you always know where you stand and what's next. Partners learn to control their power, so the training stays safe and intense at the same time.
